Však predsa všetci vieme. Textilné remeslo nezaniká, expanduje do našich preexponovaných životov a preťažených mysli. Háčkujeme si obaly na vejpky, vyšivame krabičky na kondomy, vplietame do tašiek tobolky z antidepresív. Estetika solarpunku, whimsical, siren maximalismu. Hviezdička na viečkach, tribal na krížoch, pusa na čelo. Nositeľné a funkčné umenie a craft sú nakoniec hravou odpoved´ou na konzum, ktorý už nám lezie z našich potetovaných uši.

Textile craft isn’t dying, it’s expanding into our overexposed lives and overloaded minds. We crochet covers for vapes, embroider boxes for condoms, weave antidepressant capsules into bags. The aesthetics of solarpunk, whimsical, siren maximalism. Stars on eyelids, tribal on lower backs, a kiss on the forehead. Wearable and functional art and craft are, in the end, a playful answer to consumerism that’s already spilling out of our tattooed ears.
